ORGANIC SKIN CREAMERY

I love a challenge and found one in this project.

So much was working against us - but this is what I love.

* My client was not sure how long she wanted to rent the space for.

* The bones of the space were nothing that reflected sweet botanicals and a true perfumer!

* A limited budget - now I bring out all my creativity.

* Flooring that was anything but beautiful and could not be replaced.

* A fire door that could not be blocked.

* Very little time to turn it around - 4 weeks.

THE PROCESS

I hired some help to paint the walls a vanilla color, as well as the screens and 2 antique chairs she had. I had some natural linen to recover the seats.

( I swear magic happens with me and fabric and paint.) I went to the fabric store to find something floral to hang in front of the fire door to allow easy exit but also hide it and create a backdrop to draw your eyes away from the floors (for sure). When I arrived the perfect piece of fabric at the right length and last of the bolt was laying on the table. Magic ✨

I consulted my client on the colors she felt represented her color palette of botanicals used and got straight to work. I hand painted the fabric to hang and create a strong visual and backdrop needed. It drew the eye away from the floors. . I repurposed some tables she had and found ways to hide backup product.

It all came together very quickly and she was able to open on time.

I hand painted this fabric to bring out the essence of the Botanicals she infuses with in all her products and perfumes.

VANILLA was an easy choice to paint these Indian screens that provided a partition for one on one consulting.

You put this together so fast. I don’t know how you found space for everything and made it work. K. Van Dyck
