ALAMAR, BAHÍA DE BANDERAS

This concept reimagines a 14-year-old condo with a focus on bringing warmth, functionality, and a renewed sense of calm to everyday living. Rather than replacing everything, the design builds on the home’s existing strengths—its spectacular views, generous natural light, and solid architectural foundation.

One of the first opportunities was the entry sequence. The original hallway felt purely transitional, offering little sense of welcome or connection. By introducing a rich blue feature wall, layered lighting, and carefully considered furnishings, the entrance is transformed into a warm, inviting experience that sets the tone for the rest of the home. Even a passageway can become a meaningful part of how a home is lived and experienced.

The proposal continues with a complete rethink of the kitchen and living spaces, creating a more open and cohesive environment while repurposing select existing furnishings, including a beautiful parota dining table. The outdoor terrace extends the living experience with a vision for an inviting barbecue area, layered planting, and thoughtfully integrated lighting that transforms the space after sunset.

As with many of my projects, the design relies on natural materials, restraint, and carefully considered details rather than unnecessary excess. Sculptural planters, soft architectural lighting, and a seamless connection between indoors and out create an atmosphere that feels both refined and deeply livable.
